Loving Juliet

Poem ID: 023
Written date: 2015-12-20
Title: Loving Juliet

[For Kyoko Otonashi]

Juliet, you are the breeze –
Certain but unsteady between trees at night
With your sweetness and grace
You fill my heart with hope and reason to fight
My Juliet - Kyoko Otonashi

Ain’t no soul like thee
My heart knew when I saw you first
That you are my life’s sweetie

With your sweet smile, you concealed thy broken heart
Little did I know, you were so hurt,
Cold as ice
Letting no other soul entice

Thy God gifted kindness
Entices me dearly to withdraw thy loneliness
Consider me thy prince,
Holding you dear as the fragile white Lys

My Juliet,
Let your fears be through
Let our soul be true
For witness is this Jealousy in thee,
Refusing hence, to let thy love free

I Juliet,
Beseech you forget never
That love for thee shall end ever
For you are the rhyme of my endless nights
Daydreaming ‘bout you and I in arms so tight

My dear Juliet,
That night of you and I
When the hearts no more lie
When our love so intense
Hand in hand we sensed
A heavenly moment of togetherness

For you, my love shall never fade
Now that our souls are bond to fate

Be my bride
For I promise to ever-stand by your side
Overflowing thy mended heart with happiness

Only then Juliet,
Content my heart will be
So when you smile…
The whole world is mine

Theme of Treason in Disney Frozen - A major importance in the movie

This is a review I originally wrote on

Among others, Treason is a major theme of the movie. It has a tad of importance in bringing tension to the story. It is the gateway used to captivate and avails the audience attention. There are three main causes of treason in Frozen; Elsa's ambiguous treason to the sisterly love between her and Anna, Arendelle's miscomprehension of Elsa's attitude, and Hans's treason towards Anna.

The first impression of treason in Frozen plays an important part by which the story unfolds to the climax as it helps the audience to better understand Elsa's fear, overprotective character and personality. It happens at the end of the coronation day when Elsa neglects Anna's pretense of true love and asks her to leave Arendelle. At this moment, we are able to better understand the gap in the relation they share since Anna's childhood accident. This is in fact the result of the translucent but real love that Elsa has for her younger sister. Her excessive want of protecting Anna from her powers makes her the reckless, inappropriate and non-caring sister for Anna especially at this moment of the film.

The most important act of treason which hovers around the climax of the movie though is Arendelle's miscomprehension and reject of their newly coronated Queen whom they consider as a terrible monster and threat for the Kingdom. The way Arendelle responds to Elsa adds up to her fear which causes her to escape the Kingdom, to settle and alone herself on the North Mountains where she believes to be free and evacuates her long concealed fear. This feeling of treason continues to exist till the end of the sequel when she is imprisoned and sentence to death by Prince Hans.

Further in treason, Hans clearly shows his real motivation of loving Anna when he refuses to kiss the latter in hope that she will die since she has been struck to the heart by Elsa. By this means would make him heir, hope and King of Arendelle. This act of treason helps to expand before its conclusion one of the major theme which is Love. It gives much more meaning to Anna and Hans' song "Love Is An Open Door." Anna's quest for affectionate love and Hans' who seeks only in establishing himself in a Kingdom completely outmatch the audiences' hope of true love one might thing the two of them would be sharing. Hans's treason also provides scope for the newly discovered but early developing true love between Kristoff and Anna.

Treason is not only a theme which covers the plot but also an important feature which makes the conclusion of the movie much more beautiful as it is said that "Love will thaw." Certainly, at the end Love prevails upon treason which seems more like a mere oblivion in the conclusion of the movie.

Maison Ikkoku Themes for Firefox Web Browser

Never did I enjoy a manga before, but this very first anime broke my heart, elated my feelings to heights and once again made me remember how Love is a beautiful feeling.

As I result of my addiction, love and admiration for Maison Ikkoku or in french "Juliette Je T'aime" a story by Rumiko Takahashi, I did a theme for my favourite Open Source web browser; Mozilla Firefox.

Here is the link, apply it to your browser and then give me your valuable feedback. :)

PORLWI By Light - One of its kind cultural event

This December 4-6 as from the 19:00 MUT to 00:00, is being held the first of its kind festival; "PORLWI By Light". This event is being organised in support of an initiative taken by the UNESCO declaring this year 2015 as the "International Year of Light".

Official "International Year of Light" logo.

This initiative's aim, according to the official website is to:
[raise] global awareness about how light-based technologies promote sustainable development and provide solutions to global challenges in energy, education, agriculture and health...
PORLWI By Light is said to be of support to the above statement but suddenly PORLWI By Light appears more of a cultural event to me, putting more emphasis on the Mauritian society culture and customs.
Yesterday, It was amazing to see Port-Louis so lively when usually the capital of Mauritius at these hours is nothing more than a ghost town.
The roads was no more seen with buses and cars but only people and merchants. Sounds from everywhere, people buying, watching and talking from here and there.
The first place of interest to visit when beginning from Victoria station is the well known Place D'Armes, which has been changed into a mystical place. From there till the Government House, laser lights amazed everyone and left us in aw.

We were more astonished and our mouths in agape when we watched the changing laser lights altering the face of the Government House building.
Here it's laser-light-painted in red.
Then we wandered further at "la rue Royal" and we discovered what was named on the map as "Street Food".

From Royal road, we wandered to Bourbon Street till we reached "Le Théatre de Port-Louis" where we enjoyed a beautiful show of "Street Light".
We continued then towards the National History Museum and then toward "Le Jardin de la Companie" transformed into a place taken out of a fairy tale.
The Natural History Museum
"Le Jardin de la Companie"

So here ends my adventure/feature tour of the PORLWI By Light festival. Today's the last day so if you have some free time or want to spend some time with your family, PORLWI should be on top of your place-of-interest list.

Aiming The Stars

Poem ID: 022
Written date: 2014-12-28
Title: Aiming The Stars

Oh you,
So untouchable
So high
Yet so low
Dare did I think about you
Yet me you no know not
For you’re so high like the stars
Those that linger at night
With starlight peering through
I get a glimpse of you

There from the sky
Acknowledge the ground you would not
Yet I see you
Guess you see me too
Yet I am oblivion to you

Is it I am in love with the stars?
How can it be?
Oh no!
One can’t touch the stars
So unattainable
So perfect
So bright

Yet I’ll aim at the stars
I’ll turn bright
I’ll emanate if I need too
For you to see me
A light-bright star like you

So night after night
With starlight peering through
I’ll keep aiming the stars

Reaching out for you

Title: Remember

Do you remember?
Those nights we fought;
Keeping hidden our intimacy?
Our phones buried deep in the pillows?
Our voices muffled;
Just to keep it low?

Do you remember?
The secrets we used to share, each night?
We way we planned our plight?
There where we lay silent;
Conscious of our only breath,
Where you remembered your day to me?

Do you remember?
The way we were torn apart?
The tears we shed?
The promises we broke?

I do remember;
How I use to miss you then
How each night I waited for you,
For you come back
I remember you were far away though,
Uncertain about how we were
I remember you were right though
How time did show us the way

I remember the moons after our days
Each day without you,
The way we were

You remember;
That afternoon of the meeting where we used to meet?

You remember;
Hearing me; Distinct but certain?

You remember;
That this night we talked again?

Do you remember?
The day we met at two ‘clock?
There you’d kiss me?

Do you remember?
The way we felt?
How I would not eat,
Not until you’ve served me?

Do you remember?
How we dropped the forks,
Using our hands,
Embarrassed by the Italian restaurant?

Do you remember?
The talks about you and me?
How I held the umbrella,
So we could be close again?

Do you remember?
That night we talked
More than we ever did before?
Giggling, bragging about the movies we watched?

Do you remember?
That day I got late?
How gorgeous you looked?
The way I couldn’t stop breaking sweats?

Do you remember?
Our talks in the bus?
Blaming the unreadable tickets?

I do remember;
The way you looked at me
The laughs
The Ohs and Ahs
Our walk right into my world
How I explained things to you
How you’d listened and mend them

I may not remember;
What you ate for dinner last night
The day you had that dreadful exam
Let me hope that you would forget my non-remembrance
But I do remember;
How our bond is precious
The beautiful moments and treasures we’ve shared

So please remember;
To never ever let them steer away

So shall they help you remember;
That I am with you every time;
Through every thoughts
Through every mile that sets us apart
Even if Words fall
Even if Silence becomes resilient
Even if Time mends

That you are and remain still my friend

Your Voice

Poem ID: 020
Written date: 2013-11-12
Title: Your Voice

From my deepest thoughts,
Your voice keeps calling…
It weaves my mind like heavy drums kneeling down inside me

Your voice conceals my mind,
It drives me dreamful at nights
A daydream each time a thought of you crosses my mind

From within my kidneys, my love for you dwells,
as a blaze upon my heart it stands

There from nowhere, I hear you calling…
Is it thy love driving me insane?
Or is it simply echoes from my pain?
Let it be both then,
For hope is all I hear

Your voice calling… shall be my least gain
